Changes in version 4.2.0
- Fixed a problem with the calculation of night bills for separate day/night compution for Commercial and Industrial tariffs;
- Fixed a problem with the calculation of ECO discount when bills span across periods with different rates;
- Fixed minor typographical mistakes.
Changes in version 4.0.0
- Introduced calculation of Power Feed-In rebates (tariffs);
- Possibility of separate calculation of electricity, water and feed-in rebates;
- Electricity figures now shown before water figures to keep same format as the official bill;
- Removed screen "Past Fuel Surcharge Rates" - still available here: http://mybill.com.mt/calculator/surcharge.aspx.
Changes in version 3.0.4
- Fixed an issue with online activation. In previous versions, if activation failed (e.g. no Internet connection), the program would enter a state
whereby you will be prompted, upon startup, that you need to re-activate, falsely reporting that a "change in version was detected". This caused
a vicious circle, whereby the program required activation, but activation was not possible. This problem has now been fixed, so if activation fails
for some reason or another, the current activation status would be left as is.
Changes in version 3.0.3
- Renamed the product to MyBill Calculator from the longer, previous name "Malta Utility Bill Calculator";
- Updated various links inside the application to point directly to the online shopping cart, with prefilled information, making it easier to upgrade your Edition and to extend your Maintenance Agreement;
Changes in version 3.0.2
- Minor fixes: Fixes printing problems with a missing "Period Start" and incorrect layout.
Changes in version 3.0.1
- Industrial separate day/night rates using kVAh billing was updated correctly as per the new rates (January 2010 rates).
Changes in version 3.0.0
- Support for the new utility rates as at 1 January 2010 has been added to MyBill Calculator.
Changes in version 2.1.10
- Some issues with Windows 7 were fixed. Now MyBill Calculator is fully compatible with Windows 7.
Changes in version 2.1.8
- By popular demand, in this version, the installation package (mybill.msi) was updated to create a desktop shortcut for MyBill Calculator on the user's desktop.
Changes in version 2.1.7
- The main window is now resizable, allowing the user to enlarge the window to accommodate more text in case one finds the explanation of the bill too cluttered;
- A few minor bug fixes related to the user interface;
- Improvement of the online product activation mechanism.
Changes in version 2.1.5
- Some display issues were fixed when large font sizes are used in Windows (e.g. 120% DPI setting);
- Malta Liri amounts have been removed from the bill summary to simplify the results.
Changes in version 2.1.3
- Values entered are remembered when you close the program, so you will find the last values used when you reopen it again;
- For bills before 1 October 2008, commercial VAT (5%) is charged on Total Electricity Bill + Total Fuel Surcharge, and not Total Electricity Bill + Fuel Surcharge on Electricity Consumption. Therefore, for commercial and industrial calculation, you will find VAT being reported under Water consumption. This VAT is charged, however, on the surcharge applicable only, and not on water consumption or on the water meter rent;
- For bills before 1 October 2008, commercial and industrial government subsidy on water was corrected. First 171 annual units are subsidized (calculated pro-rata according to the bill period), at a rate of Lm0.50 (€1.16) per unit;
- For bills before 1 October 2008, commercial and industrial water meter rents have been updated to Lm24 (€55.90) annually.
Changes in version 2.1.1
- Users with no administrative privileges can still install MyBill Calculator;
- Some issues related to activation on non-administrative accounts were fixed.
Changes in version 2.1
- The calculator was changed into a desktop application, removing the need of running a web application on the desktop through the use of a mini web server;
- Since the application is now written in native code, the dependency on Microsoft .NET framework was removed;
- The online edition was removed, and customers wishing to calculate their bills have to use the offline edition;
- The offline edition is now simply referred to as MyBill Calculator.
Changes in version 2.0
The rates were updated to support the latest April 2009 rates (still subject to approval by the MRA). MyBill Calculator now comes in three editions: Residential Edition, Commercial Edition and Industrial Edition:
- The Residential Edition can calculate residential rates only;
- The Commercial Edition can calculate residential rates and commercial rates;
- The Industrial Edition can calculate all types of rates, including separate day/night rates and maximum demand charges.
Changes in version 1.3
The calculator was updated to allow bill calculations as early as 1 Nov 2005, spanning multiple periods using a mixture of surcharge rates and bill calculation methods:
- MyBill Calculator can now calculate bills spanning as back as 1 Nov 2005. Bills spanning periods with different rates of fuel surcharge (or different tariff rates) are split into separate block computations.
- Automatic comparison with old rates was removed. The reason is that surcharge for old rates varied over the months, and the calculator always assumed it to be fixed at 95%, which was not completely correct reasoning. To compare your bill with a previous rate, specify a period before 1 Oct 2008 and use the Past Fuel Surcharge Rate table (at the bottom of the homepage) as a guide.
- Page layout was updated.
Changes in version 1.2
Fixed some issues with the 'Show Detailed Workings' information, unrelated to actual figures:
- If you specify a period till 31/12/2008, the residential calculation of electricity (new tariffs) incorrectly says that the period partially spans over 1/10/2008.
- If you specify a period spanning between 2008 and 2009, the residential calculation of electricity (new tariffs) incorrectly says that the period spans over 1/10/2008 instead of 1/1/2009.
- Annual commercial rates (new tariffs) incorrectly say "Rates inc. 5% VAT" instead of "Rates excl. 5% VAT".
