Installing and running the Malta Utility Bill Calculator™
Some customers find difficulties running the Malta Utility Bill Calculator™ after installation (usually trouble locating the shortcut for the program). I am posting this to help customers get through the installation process and subsequent use of the calculator.
- Before purchasing the calculator, customers typically download the trial version to try it out. The trial version offers full functionality but can be used at most for 15 days. Once a purchase is made,
there is no need to re-download the software. All that is required is to unlock the existing software using the license key sent via e-mail. This license key is a long code consisting of letters and numbers.
- When you download the software the first time, you download a file called "mybill.msi". This is the installation package. The software installs when you double-click on this file. Follow the instructions and click "Next" on each screen (you must agree to the License Agreement in one of the screens). Once the software is up and running, you can delete the file "mybill.msi", since it is not required anymore. Should you require it in the future (e.g. you need to re-install the software), you can re-download it from our website.
- When you close the program, you can start it again by clicking Start->All Programs->Malta Utility Bill Calculator->Malta Utility Bill Calculator. Do NOT click on "mybill.msi", since this will prompt you to repair or uninstall the program, which is not what you want. Use the shortcut in the Start menu instead. Note: If you are running Vista, the names of the buttons will be slightly different, e.g. instead of a Start Button you have a Windows Logo at the bottom-left corner of the screen.
